Cookies

What are cookies and what are they used for?

A cookie is a small text file saved on your computer by your browser when you visit a website, such as www.boucheron.com (hereafter referred to as "the website")

What types of cookies are used by websites and what for?

Our website uses different types of cookies and similar technologies, each of them having a different function as explained in the chart below:

TYPE OF COOKIE

FUNCTION

Technical and browser cookies

Technical and browser cookies contribute to the proper functioning of the website and enable you to consult it in your own language and local market from your very first visit. They recognise your country so that you will immediately be redirected to the country's website on future visits. They also enable you to create an account and login while browsing the website. If you have already subscribed, these cookies will recognise you as soon as you access the services we offer our subscribers.

Functional cookies

These cookies enable our website to recognise you following an explicit demand from you (e.g. if you click "Remember me") every time you visit our website, so that you never have to login again.
If you have added items to your wishlist and logged out of your browser session, these cookies will enable you to find your selected items again next time you visit the website within a reasonable timeframe.
These cookies are not crucial to the website's functioning but improve the website and browser experience.

Analytical cookies

These cookies are used by some of our suppliers, e.g. Google Analytics, in order to carry out statistical analyses on how visitors use our website from computers of smartphone apps: number of pages viewed per user, number of clicks on the website, etc. In such cases, Boucheron processes the analyses's results anonymously and for statistical purposes, but only provided that the service supplier uses cookies in relation to the computer's or media device's browser used to visit our website.
